Creative Guitar Circle

Creative Guitar Circle (“CGC”) is a new online platform designed to bring together curious, enthusiastic guitarists who are looking for long-term learning, deep musical exchange, and a broader community of like-minded people.
An environment that provides inspiration, direction and accountability, while creating new connections and a sense of belonging.

So if you’re feeling stuck, uninspired or isolated in your music practice, or just looking for consistency and new ideas to explore in a supportive environment and a diverse, growing community- this is the space for YOU!
Open to guitarists of any level and genre
(and to all musicians who feel they can benefit from the platform)

In today’s digital world, information is everywhere, but communities and shared processes are harder to find and cultivate. Creative Guitar Circle aims to inhibit that space as a fruitful middle ground between in-person private instruction (which has limited time slots and can be above people’s budgets or possible commitment levels) and solo learning through YouTube, online courses, Reddit, etc (which can feel disconnected, impersonal and doesn’t always allow for direct communication).

Informed by over 12 years of experience teaching dozens of private students, creating group workshops, leading ensembles and conducting masterclasses,
members of CGC will receive:

- weekly prompts for practice and creativity, instructional videos, and PDF materials on a wide range of topics
- discussion threads to share your work and perspectives with the community
- personalized feedback on posts and questions during the week
- regular bi-weekly Q&A and practice sessions - LIVE on ZOOM

As the platform grows, collaborations and masterclasses by other guitarists are planned, as well as potential live performances, hangouts and more!

We’ll use DISCORD as our platform for all relevant content, and you’ll receive a link with access to our server following your registration.

*** While the educational approach and tools often come from a jazz lens, the platform is open to guitarists of any genre and any level, and will provide material that would benefit and broaden the musical world of people from many different backgrounds ***
