With a strong emphasis on spontaneous composition and arranging, this solo guitar project combines various forms of free improvisation with original compositions, material from the jazz repertoire, classical pieces and songs.
Being completely exposed, this format helps me find new ways to approach improvisation and composition while developing a broader vocabulary on the guitar. I hope to create an environment in which the performer and the audience are almost equal - both experiencing the music as it unfolds and are somehow unaware of what could happen next.
It is extremely challenging, always fun and hopefully surprising.
An alto-guitar-drums trio, this band performs all original music composed by Sagi. Playing mostly rubato-style pieces, the trio seeks to present what might be harmonically and conceptually complex with a clear, minimalist and interactive approach.
Simplicity and commitment to motives and ideas guide the group's improvisation and interplay.
