‘Creative Guitar Circle’

If you’re an experienced guitar player feeling a stuck, uninspired or isolated in your music practice, or just looking for some new ideas to explore in a supportive enviornment - this is the space for you!

Creative Guitar Circle (“CGC”) is an online platform designed to bring together curious, enthusiastic guitarists who are looking for long-term learning, deep musical exchange, and a broader community of like-minded people. I hope this environment will provide inspiration, communication, and accountability, while creating new connections and hopefully a sense of belonging.

In today’s digital world, information is everywhere, but communities and shared processes are hard to come by. CGC aims to exist as a fruitfu middle ground between in-person private instruction (which has limited hours and is often above people’s budget) and solo online learning through YouTube, Reddit, online courses, etc (which can feel disconnected, impersonal and doesn’t create direct and personalized communication)

Facilitated by NYC-based guitarist and composer, Tal Yahalom, members of CGC will receive weekly prompts for practice and creativity, instructional videos and PDF materials on various subjects, discussion threads to share their work and perspectives, personalized feedback on posts and questions, as well as regular opportunities for live Q&A sessions.

*** While the educational approach and tools often come from a jazz lens, the platform is open to guitarists of any genre and any level, and will provide material that would benefit and broaden the musical world of people from many different backgrounds!
